Karen B. Meck, MT
Director of Design / Practice Manager
Karen Meck has over 27 years of experience working with high net worth clientele specializing in tax planning and life insurance. Karen provides experience in the areas of estate planning, wealth transfer, retirement planning and business continuation for both the private and public sectors. Karen’s tax planning background allows her to provide clients with a clear understanding of life insurance and how it may be utilized as liquidity for estate taxes, retirement income or part of an executive’s benefit plan.
Karen works with G&R’s clients specializing in advanced case design. This consists of gathering and analyzing financial information, legal documents, and any existing insurance. In addition, she develops and recommends advanced planning strategies and techniques given our client’s personal situation. Her in-depth knowledge of insurance products helps our clients understand and make educated decisions. She attends and participates virtually with client meetings.
Karen earned a Master of Taxation degree from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree from Millersville University. She is licensed in Life, Health, and Disability. Her professional memberships include the Society of Financial Service Professionals, the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and AALU (Association for Advanced Life Underwriting).
Karen has volunteered for the Boys and Girls Club of Lancaster, S. June Smith Center and Brereton Manor.
In her spare time, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband Todd and their three French Bulldogs, Cabernet, Buster, and Avalanche. She has a passion for competing in bodybuilding competitions and traveling to national parks.
